Frederick W. Marty joined Mackenzie Hughes in 2007 and practices in the firm's business department. Fred represents buyers, sellers, and lending institutions in commercial and residential real estate transactions. He counsels clients in the formation of business entities and represents clients in the purchase and sale of closely held businesses. He also represents clients in the preparation and filing of private placement memoranda and offering plans for homeowners' associations, condominiums, and venture capital fund offerings. Fred is also a member of the firm's immigration law practice group where he counsels clients in their immigration to the United States by assisting them in purchasing and selling commercial and residential real estate.

Fred attended Colgate University where he graduated cum laude and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1998. He attended Syracuse University College of Law where he graduated cum laude and received a Juris Doctor in 2003. He is admitted to practice law in New York State and the United States District Court for the Northern District of New York.

Fred is a member and Co-Chair of the New Lawyers Section for the Onondaga County Bar Association, and a member of the New York State Bar Association. He is the Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors of the Mountain Goat Run Foundation, Inc. He also serves as a member of the Board of Directors of the Syracuse Track Club, Inc.

Prior to joining Mackenzie Hughes, Fred worked in a local law firm where he represented clients in commercial and residential real estate transactions. He also represented developers in negotiating and obtaining land use approvals and has appeared before various municipal boards and agencies.

In Fred's spare time, he enjoys staying active in athletics by running, cycling, hiking, and attending various athletic events.
